In a world where there are scholarships for people over a certain height, who make their prom dress out of duct tape, or are left-handed, it is a shame that there are not more scholarships for moms. Fortunately the days of sexist stereotypes and a men-dominated corporate world are on there way out, and one major proponent of this movement is the large increase in the matriculation of females to college. This is greatly aided by scholarships for girls. It is important not to overlook women as well, though. Scholarships for moms are integral for a better future. The divorce rate in the United States has skyrocketed, and the number of single moms are one the rise.

Higher education helps these valiant women better provide for their children, which in turn helps better provide for the future of our society as a whole. Thus, scholarships for moms do not only aid the women who receive the scholarships, but society as a whole. We also owe it to mothers around the world, who have devoted their lives to raising and providing for their children, sacrificing their time and energy for their loved ones. Many times the importance of mothers are overlooked, but as they say, the hand who rocks the cradle rules the world.
